Description

Carter's Ink Company was founded in 1858 by William Carter as William Carter Company, first headquartered in Boston, MA. They were one of the largest ink distributors in the nation. Avery Dennison acquired Carter's in 1975. This pamphlet advertises their line of Vel Vet paints for show cards, often called, "Show Card Colors." The line is described as, "the best pigments obtainable, ground unusually fine and form a rich, creamy consistency." Inside of the four-panel pamphlet, there is a rich display of 15 actual colors for a sign-painter to select from.
