Description

Color lithograph on heavy white paper. The image depicts a frontal view of a girl's dress. The dress is a gray fabric with yellow petaled flowers and gray birds with red stripes for designs. Lace rectangular ornamentation appears on the front of the dress, and lace appears on top of the sleeves extending from the neckline to the bottom of the sleeves. Belt ties are also evident at the waistline. A zipper appears in the interior back of the dress, which can be seen though the low squared neckline. The print is signed in pencil in the bottom margin at the left, "Anderson Fine Arts Center Imp (ression?)," the print is titled in pencil in the bottom center margin, "Girl's Dress with Birds and Flowers," and the print is signed and dated in pencil in the bottom right margin "A(l) Pounders 1980." This print was a gift from the artist on the occasion of his one-man exhibition at TACA, sponsored by the Indiana Arts Commission, which also funded the gifts of this print and the two others (1980.2.1 and 1980.2.2).
