Description

Etching in black on white paper. Image depicts a large figure of a man in a zebra skin robe and a black hat with outstretched hands which dominate the right side of the composition. The wizard is looking over a group of penguins which stand on a cracker surface 1/3 up in the comp. To the left of the penguins are two zebras. Above the penguins the backs of zebras in a herd are visible, with a large plant like form above and behind them. In the background is an aqua tinted atmosphere of very textured quality. Below the plane with the penguins upon it, appears a criss-crossed pattern (like a chain link fence) and below this appear several textured "rock" forms. The print is titled in pencil, "The Wizard's World" below to the left of the image and is numbered 2/50. Signed James Fargan.
