The image appears to be of a rusting piece of machinery, probably a tractor. UL, there is a headlight cowling with the sealed beam light dangling by two wires below it. There appears to be a set of gears and levers; above this, there is a steering wheel. Below the steering wheel, LC is a metal seat. Foreground LL to LC is two large foot levers with what appears to be rusting Queen Anne's lace flowers growing nearby. The piece is signed by artist LL, on the horizontal object that looks like a burning cigar, "J. Anna Roberts." Watermark UL: can clearly read "FRANCE." There is another word, but not readable. Verso is written LL in pencil "Carlson Landscape painting by Henry Bell applications."Type of Painting
