Sepia tone photograph on buff paper depicting a studio posed portrait of a young man. The figure is shown seated, turned a quarter to the right whole looking straight out. The figure's right arm is in his lap and his other arm is pulled back, and he is holding a cigar in his left hand. The figure is dressed in a suit and vest with a white shirt and ascot neckwear. The background is a studio drop with a light area behing his head and right shoulder.
On the verso appears the following inscription in black ink, "Glenn Cooper Hinshaw Artist Distant Cousin, Lulu A. Smith."
Hinshaw was an artist and changed his name to Henshaw. There are works by him in the permanent collection.Acquisition
