Image that is a somewhat abstracted and impressionistic landscape in primarily dark tones of blue, black and green. Image made up of snowy ground in foreground with late summer to early fall foliage overhead and extending into the background. Slightly above the center is an unclear image suggestive of an architectural structure which appears to have two large, dark rectangular openings and at least one large, white column separating the openings. The background on the right side is painted in burgundy tones. The background to the left is primarily in blacks. Signed "Opal Merritt" in the lower left corner.
