Untitled (Graveyard at Dusk)Entry/Object ID
1989.6.15Description
Image of a cemetery in the foreground with the church, trees, people walking, and setting sun in the background. Graveyard appears as white headstones poking out of black, heavily inked earth. Two matching stones in the left foreground, both leaning slightly to the left, appear to be closest to the viewer. The tall obelisk stone on the right captures the viewer's attention. The church in distance on left appears to be of Spanish architecture and seems to have been built in two parts. The forward part is shorter and is octagonal in shape with a cross perched atop its pointed roof. The rear portion is two stories higher than the front. It has two stained glass windows on its face, one above the other, and on the roof, there are two crosses. Surrounding the church are thick trees, especially to the left of the building.Acquisition
