Description

Central image that of a female dancer with legs outstretched as if doing the splits. Torso located to the left upper center of the plane; seen from behind. The figure is headless although the neck is visible. The entire righthand picture plane heavily darkened by innumerable sketch lines; through this dark field travels the central figure's right arm, shoulder, and leg; the latter emerges from center canvas and cits diagonally, tapering to a point just above the lower righthand corner of the plane. The left half of the body includes the left leg, arm, and hand appear in an untreated portion of the paper and appear dark against the paper's natural beige tones. Print 2/5.
