Description

Painting of an overcast day with grey and white clouds over a dark, grassy field. The field is colored with dark browns and yellows with a hint of grey. There is a suggestion of a figure in the field in the left foreground. There is a white house on the right on the horizon line with a suggestion of a small town along with the left background. Signed in the lower right corner, "G. Inness." Written on the back of the stretcher "Given to Milton Winters 1892 dated 1891."
