Large, multi-colored rock formations dominate the right portions of the picture plane: blues, purples, browns, and greens appear to be the predominate colors. In the immediate foreground are additional rocks and sagebrush, and the painting depicts either the west or southwest. From behind the rocks, a man riding a horse emerges.
