Description

Drypoint etching in warm black ink on white textured paper bearing the watermark "F.J. Head & Co." depicting a landscape with lake. In the foreground are four narrow-trunked trees on the right side. In the middle ground are numerous trees along the shore of a lake. An island with trees is in the lake and beyond is a tree-lined shore with a large mountain behind, which is reflected in the lake. Above is a cloudless sky. The print is signed in pencil below the image to the right reads, "Sam Garratt." Sheet size: 10 3/16 x 11 11/16" Image size: 7 1/2 x 8 7/16"
