Description

Serigraph on heavy-weight white paper with watermark in the lower right corner "JS" with the two letters intertwined. The image is somewhat abstract, and depicts 7 gazelles leaping through a field. Each gazelle is a brown silhouette outlined in black with a striped design on the sides consisting of a narrow black line on top, a medium white line below, and a wide black line below the white. White "trees" with black outlines appear in the left of the image, and a large clump appear to the right. The background is an intense flat orange field of color, and the entire image has a black border. The print is numbered in pencil in the lower left corner "10/72" and is signed in pencil in the lower right corner within the image "N Monro". En verso: "Monro Gazelles" appears in the bottom center in pencil, and in the bottom right quadrant appears a collector's mark stamped in black ink.
