Color woodcut on medium-weight rice paper. Image depicts figures bearing gifts in a landscape (possibly a wedding). In the foreground are three figures on a diagonal. The first (to the left) appears to be a man in violet robes who is kneeling looking up to the second figure, which is a woman standing in a floral patterned robe of red and black. She is holding a veil or cloak over her head which is white with a ciruclar pattern upon it. The veil is embossed with a fine "screen like" pattern. The third figure is kneeling in a red patterned robe and is holding a wrapped gift. In the middle ground on the left
side are two more female figures who are bowing to the the standing figure in the foreground. Each one in traditional costume and bearing a gift. Interspersed with the figures are rows of flowers and grass. In the background to the right are some trees and the tops of buildings with mountains beyond and sky above. The image is surrounded with an ochre border containing dark speckles and small random gold squares. Japanese characters appear in the upper right corner, the lower right corner and the lower left corner.
