Description

This canning jar was the first item ever donated to the museum when it first opened in the Clasbey Community Center. In 1978, Mrs. Dixon had two items in her donation which was this jar and a knife. The jar is a clear green jar used for canning. The jar is chipped around the mouth and there are bubbles in the glass. The mouth of the jar is a rough texture even without the chips in the glass. The jar is much more cylindrical compared to modern canning jars. The threads by the mouth of the jar are also shorter than a modern canning jar.
