Construction of Orientation Area: The Plasma TV WallEntry/Object ID
2023.ACM.58Description
The photograph was taken during the Museum's renovation when adding the Orientation Area in 2005, which was completed in 2006. The Orientation Area's reception desk greets guests as they first enter, allowing visitors to feel welcomed. It also allows guests to be informed on the exhibits in "A Rural Way of Life." This area also has a small gift shop which benefits the museum.
The photograph is of the orientation area of the Andrew County Museum from Sept. 2005. There is a partial wall set up. This wall will be for the Plasma screen TV at the entrance of the museum. The partial wall is only of the skeleton of the wall, with studs. On the far left of the wall is the partition, followed by studs to give the wall support. On the front end is rolled-up debris, and in front of it, on the far left of the photo, is a blue trash can with discarded wood sticking out of it. Behind the studs is the museum gift shop with items hanging on the gift shop wall, and in front of the gift shop wall is a table. To the left of the table, looking at the photograph is a rectangular shape leaning against the wall, and on the right side of the table, looking at the photograph is a gift shop display. The ceiling is incomplete, and three light fixtures are switched on, illuminating the gift shop area. On the back is a handwritten label of the photograph, “Plasma screen wall in Gift Shop. Sept. 2005.”Photograph Details
