Description

Inboard engine, Lycoming V12, Model UFLD132 Lycoming Manufacturing Company UF 2000.079 The serial number on this engine reads "UFLD132", so it is possible that this is a model UFLD rather than just UF, most likely the LD denotes some small alteration to the UF. This is an overhead cam V12 engine. It uses a battery and induction coil ignition and dual Holley DD5 downdraft carburetors. Has a Snow & Petrelli "Joes" reduction gear, model 1565, serial number 343R. This engine has no flywheel, nor did it ever have. It is in nice shape, very restorable. The UF is listed in the Lycoming Marine Engines catalog from 1934, which is in the Lycoming file under Inboard Engines. From the literature we know that it is 4 3/4 by 4 3/4, 1010 cubic inches. From that it produces 325 horsepower. Original price was $2750 in 1934. EVS 2007
