Description

Chrysler Marine Engines Royal M28 The Marine Engine division of Chrysler is most famous for the Chrysler Crown, which powered many Chris Craft runabouts. The Royal is a larger straight eight, made for cruising boats. The Royal model was made for almost 20 years, this one is probably from the late 1940s. It is a 3 1/4 by 4 in-line eight, flathead, with a single induction coil ignition, and an updraft carburetor, which is missing. from this motor. This is most likely a spare engine which was donated with Red Cloud in 1995, as mentioned in that boat's donation records. EVS 2007
