Description

Gray Marine model 4-55 2006.011.A This motor came with the bones of a Ludington runabout from 1930-31 (acc. no. 2006.011) and was originally coupled to a very early outdrive manufactured by Johnson. The engine itself is pretty normal and straightforward; an in-line four cylinder flathead with a single updraft Zenith carburetor. It has a starter motor and separate motor-generator run off of a belt at the flywheel end. Ignition is provided by a single induction coil. A gear pump is used to circulate the cooling water. The serial number of this engine is 12332. EVS 2008
