Description

Inboard engine, St. Lawrence Engine Co. This 2 cylinder engine was manufactured by St. Lawrence Engine Co., Ltd., Brockville, Ontario, Canada. Rated in the 2-6 HP range and used in skiff putts and descendants of skiff putts and other small launches. It was started by spinning the flywheel by hand. Others had small hole on the face of the flywheel and starting strap (similiar to a razor strap with a handle on the end) and a pin on end that fit into a hole. The strap was wrapped around the flywheel and then was pulled straight up to start. Restored in 1988 by Capt. Lionel "Al" Cross.
