Outboard engine, WAB
WAB 88.035.005
Records show this to be a 1935 engine. It is very unusual, with an unusually sophisticated oiling system and what looks to be a dynamo(?) ignition. An early vertical-block in-line two cylinder engine. Separate aluminum exhaust manifolds feed into an oval-shaped copper chamber on the starboard side of the engine, with an aluminum plate on the front where there are two threaded nipples. Cooling water is pulled up the shaft and discharged through a tube out the top of the motor. It has a nice wooden carrying handle in front, and a threaded peice on the end of the tiller, suggesting that there may have been a matching wooden tiller handle. It is also missing its carburetor. Mostly aluminum, with a painted copper gas tank.Collection
