Outboard engine, Johnnson Sea Horse K-40, 1928, 7.2 HP, s/n 86464 This is the original engine from "Owl", acc. #77.006 Johnson Sea Horse K45 1978.007 A nice motor paired with a Penn-Yann outboard. The motor is a direct opposed twin from 1928, ten horsepower. Front mounted carburetor with direct controls, whcih can also receive push-pull cables. Magneto as far as can be seen, but in the end of the spark-advance lever is a socket for a power plug, purpose unknown. Has nice labels including one advertising that the unit has been patented in many countries including Japan.Collection
