Description

Outboard engine, Indian Silver Arrow Indian Silver Arrow 1978.013 A large opposed twin outboard made by the same company which would become famous for motorcycles, before that company decided to focus on them exclusively. Indian only made outboards from 1929 to 1931. This motor is suspiciously similar to the Evinrude Speeditwin. Both have a large bent cast-aluminum air intake manifold for the carburetor, similar exhaust manifolds, and throttle control. Apparently, however, this engine ran poorly while the Speeditwin was a big seller. Very nice labels on this motor.
