Description

Outboard engine, Caille Companion Model 14. Date from Bill Loveland 1-2-06. A direct opposed twin from Caille, producing six horsepower. Magneto ignition with the spark advance controlled by a lever in the standard way, though it rides on a toothed track to keep it from drifting. Cast aluminum exhaust and priming cups. Throttle control is direct, though there is also a mount to receive a push-pull cable. The tiller handle also has mounts to receive steering cables, the tiller turns the lower unit only as in other Cailles. This motor was sold with a boat, and both were designed to collapse and become eminently portable. All labels present, turns over with fine compression.
