Vertical block in-line two cylinder, six horsepower from 1947. Unique modern styling in front and exposed torpedo-shaped heads and spark-plug covers (one missing) in rear. Original labels showing starting and lubrication instructions are present and readable. Throttle, choke, and shift controls are all on the front of the engine, no controls on the tiller handle. Underwater exhaust. This engine is started with a knotted rope, instead of a ripcord as the Wizard is. On top of the flywheel it says made by Kiekhaefer Corporation, referring to Carl Kiekhaefer, founder of Mercury Marine.
