Description

Outboard engine, Muncie B38. Date from Bill Loveland 1-2-06. Muncie Gear Company Model 2B38 86.0003 A horizontal single-cylinder reported to be from 1938, but looks earlier. Spark control is under the starting wheel, carburetor is mounted on the port side with a lever for the choke, and the throttle is controlled by a cable leading to a twisting collar on the tiller handle. Cooling water is forced into the lower unit through movement and discharged out a tube from the top of the cylinder. Exhaust is piped straight down underwater.Cast aluminum carrying handle in front.
