Description

Outboard engine, Scott Atwater. Date from Bill Loveland 1-2-06. Scott-Atwater 16 97.007 A very clean-looking vertical-block in-line twin engine. The richness adjust, which can also be pushed to drain the carburetor, and the choke are hidden behind a door in the front of the engine. The throttle and spark are controlled from the tiller, and the shift lever is on the starboard side. The exhaust exits underwater and the pipe opening is covered by a rubber flapper, which is, incredibly, still attached. There is a ring on the back in the middle of the lower unit, perhaps for towing? A gear and shaft which connects the tiller controls where the tiller handle hinges upward has most of the teeth worn off and has been placed loose inside the engine cover.
