Scope and Content

A letter to Ben H. Berry from Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc. Transcription: Feb. 7, 1934. Mr. Ben H. Berry, 901 Georgia Savings Bank Bldg., Atlanta, Ga. Dear Mr. Berry: In reply to your letter of Feb. 7th. We wish to advise that we have a party whom we expect will take over a mortgage on this property within the next week. In the meantime we will try and pay the note which came due Feb. 1st. At this time of the year our income is practically nothing, our business being seasonal. While we have a large amount of money in outstanding accounts, but it is almost impossible to make collections. Also with our local bank in the hands of a receiver being liquidated and a large amount of our money tied up there, it makes it really hard for us to meet these not s this winter. We must ask that you just give us a little time and we will either make this payment in full or pay the note and interest now due. Very truly yours, Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc. By
