Mr. J. B. Fitzgerald
Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
Dear Mr. Fitzgerald:
Thanks a lot for your interesting note of the 9th.
I appreciate the trouble you took to find some Northern Spy apples, for I know it is a chilly ride to Grindstone at this time of the year.
The new top sounds very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing it next Spring. I am sure it will come in very handy.
We are well except Mrs. Beardslee, who is suffering from a cold just now. I hope Mrs. Fitzgerald is in good health.
With kindest regards,
Sincerely yours,
L R Beardslee

The Fitzgerald & Lee collection was discovered in 2014, in the attic space of what used to be the Fitzgerald & Lee business offices. The collection was donated to the Alexandria Township Historical Society. Fitzgerald & Lee were prominent boat builders of the area from 1920-1942, building custom boats and selling Gar Wood boats. The museum holds several Fitzgerald & Lee built boats in its permanent collection.Collection
