I appreciate your offering me the opportunity to purchase the Chrysler Royal Eight at a very favorable price, but if I can get along this year with the engine I have for an expenditure of $75 or $80, as you suggested, that is what I will have to do and when another year rolls around, I will talk about the matter of a new engine then. With best wishes and looking forward to the pleasure of seeing you soon, I am Very truly yours,, L R Beardslee Mr. J. B. Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc. Alexandria Bay, N. Y.

Context

The Fitzgerald & Lee collection was discovered in 2014, in the attic space of what used to be the Fitzgerald & Lee business offices. The collection was donated to the Alexandria Township Historical Society. Fitzgerald & Lee were prominent boat builders of the area from 1920-1942, building custom boats and selling Gar Wood boats. The museum holds several Fitzgerald & Lee built boats in its permanent collection.
