Fitzgerald and Lee
Gentlemen,
Received your air mail letter today and sorry to inconvenience you. I am enclosing a check for $300 and sorry to cause the delay. As I was expecting Mother to come by here sooner than she did I expected to have the check in the mail at a much earlier date.
I am glad to hear that the boat performs smoothly. I intend to break the motor in slowly but do not believe a try-out would hurt it any as you know how to handle

a new motor and am glad to hear that she is in such good running order.
I will probably be up to the river the second week in June and will be down to see you at first opportunity. You may have her ready to go anytime during the second week in June.
We look forward to having a pleasant summer at the river and will see you soon.
Yours truly
R.B. Watson, Jr.
