Smith Lebanon Tenn Fitzgerald and Lee Inc Gentlemen, Thank you for your letter of Mar. 24 regarding the 18' Gar Wood runabout. I have been somewhat perturbed over the increase in price as quoted by you in your letter. The F.O.B. price of the 18' SC model no 712 quoted by you at $1,495 and $2,125 delivered and the accordingly rise in price of your runabout to $1,500. I received only a few days ago quotations from the factory F.O.B. prices which quoted this boat to me at $1,850 with the Gray244 125 hp. However the same boat with the Gray Fire Ball 150 hp is quoted at the present time at page 2 an F.O.B. price of $1,995. Perhaps you have mixed these two prices or are using a Gray Fire Ball which would of course account for the difference in F.O.B. prices as I received this list of prices within the last week. I did not anticipate any rise in price of the runabout you have from the price which you quoted me. Perhaps you can check this over again and hope that we can close the deal with a difference of $850.00 as I will be glad to send you immediately a deposit and turn the Gray 103 over to you at once.
