Fitzgerald and Lee
Gentlemen,
Please pardon the slight delay as I was not able to make connections promptly.
I am enclosing a check payable to [name?] Lee for $200.00 and a balance of $300.00 will be paid about May 1st and the remainder before delivery in June, I do hope that this meets with your approval it being the best arrangement I could make.
We expect to find the boat as stated in
page 2
your letters, in sound condition throughout and completely equipped having all the usual qualities of that year boat (1936 Gar 18' footer 294 cc) as to performance and finish. On trial to come up to these qualities in the characteristic manner.
I am glad we have been able to instigate this deal to our mutual accord and satisfaction.
Enclosed please find a note to give to Renny for the Gray 103 Phantom. I will write him also.
Yours truly
R.B. Watson Jr.
P.S. [vertically, left margin] I do not care to have motor equipped with special oil for compression
