Fitzgerald & Lee
Gentlemen
I am sending a check for 3.75 that I consider what it should be to ship in two bolts in a magneto. He was in the boat house less than one hour and then he left one wire that was to short this he put in at your place for $2,50 more but he put in a packing in the water pump and the stuffing box then the [?] deck he left the
crumbled packing in this we all know will not work & I had to have this done

by a man in Clayton. He cleaned out the old packing it was all in pieces. I don't think that I should be charged anything. You sold me the boat and guaranteed to be in first class condition, almost new only been built 18 months and I took your word for it. I found out since it has been used for 6 years. That accounts for the fly wheel is gone. I never had the boat in the water until this summer due to the river been so low there was not enough water there to float it. Now I can't start until I can get a new fly wheel as I drive through on my way home Aug 20th

I stop there and Mr. Lee looked through some wheels that he had but there was nothing that would fit, and he thought that he might be able to find one that he would keep it in mind. This you need not do as I can't afford your charges. I never new that anybody charge three time the time spent on the job before. This I know as I was there.
Respectfully,
Evan Hughes
