Hr. J.B. Fitzgerald
Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
Dear Mr. Fitzgerald
Your letter of eighth instant is encouraging. It crossed my latest and you might be puzzled. I want to use the Kinkora Friday May 27, so please put it in the water soon to avoid leaking. Donal can do the varnishing later if necessary. I hardly expect that you would have a job for Donal this summer? He dislikes idleness and I want him up there with us. I presume there will be lots doing up there this summer. I have a letter from myold chum, the premier of Canada, and may have to help entertain him. He's too big to fit in my cottage.
Don't hurry with my new boat as I may not have the two hundred on delivery before July first though I expect to have it June first.
Of course I'll see you unless you desert your shop altogether. We should get there early Friday afternoon.
Our respect to Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mr. Lee and kind regard to all the boys.
