Mr JB Fitzgerald
Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
Dear Friend,
Yours of yesterday just received. I am sending you the five hundred. I could have the check certified but it would delay it. I am in no hurry but you are. I think I may do you some good but I wish your name could be on it. How much would a little brass plate with "Fitzgerald & Lee" on it cost?
The name I would choose would be "O'B" not forgetting the apostrophe. It might have Rochester N.Y. under it or not as you like. It should be only on the stern. Can you register it and put the numbers on or must I do that?
If Alf likes me I assure you it is mutual. Maybe he has heard some of the things I have said of him.
Don't forget details that cannot be well added after launching like bailer and fish tank.
Write soon again as to my boat, etc.
Sincerely,
Francis J. O'BrienCollection
