My dear FitzGerald,
I expect to send the six seventy on Thursday next, May 27, and think perhaps a N.Y. draft might be best as you evidently forget how my name is spelled and might not recognize it.
Your letter was a surprise to me as I distinctly remember you saying I didn't need to pay a cent until I had my boat, and you also forget that I asked you, about show time, whether you wanted all the money June first do for part, and you didn't answer. In consequence I wasn't ready and haven't the full amount in the bank today.
On Thursday I will clean out my bank and you $670. I hope you will not forget to deliver the boat full of gas etc. soon after the second of June,
Very sincerely
