Dec 30, 1938
Dear Mr. Fitzgerald,
Thank you for your interesting letter as well as for your kind wishes and passes to the boat show.
We will not go down this year as I think that fishing boat will last another year. I hope you will have a good time and meet some prospective buyers I sent the passes to my brother in law L.M. Conly head of the Tribune Fresh Air Fund hoping he might go to the show and possibly do you some good. If you see him or my sister give them the glad hand.
I've been trying to advertise or forward the interests of Alexandria Bay, as I know none of you wish to move to the end of the new bridge, but so far all I have heard is that the Crosman House is to increase the size of their grill. There must be a way to divert traffic through the Bay. Tell Alvin to put his giant mind to work. His future might hinge on it. Don is home for the holiday.
Happy New Year to Mrs. Fitzgerald, yourself & Mr. Lee
Sincerely Francis J. O'BrienCollection
