Dec. 15, 1936
Dear Mr. Fitzgerald,
Thinking to see you at the boat show I have been neglecting you shamelessly. Now I fear we cannot go, for reasons other lack of cash. If possible I would like you to go, with my order in your pocket, for at least one boat, a Garwood.
Could you send me a contract to sign with a catalogue for illustration. I have forgotten the models but am afraid of the permanent top. Norris Hunt says you cannot see at night. I would prefer a removable top. Also to avoid too much company, I'd prefer just two seats (communicating if possible) and the engine in the rear. This I think means a run about not a utility, but I'd like 19 19 or twenty feet long. Send me your figures.
Bob Meier still offers me a thousand for my cruiser but I want to deal with you.
Are you going to the show?
Francis J. O'Brien
