Letter to Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc. from Francis J. O'Brien Transcription: Jan 5 1937 Mr. J.B. Fitzgerald Alexandria Bay N.Y. Dear Friend. You are prompt and I wish to appear so too but am too tired just now to type this. I hope you can read my poor writing. Thank you for your courtesy in matter of payment etc. You do not answer all my questions and so I do not understand your new contracts. If (as you sayin the enclosed end of you recent letter) that you are giving me 1936 prices and the catalogue you sent me says this cabin utility costs 1570, how come the 1700? As you leave next Friday my best bet is to correct the former contract and sign it if you can fill it all right and we'll add any thing additional you and I think advisable. If I took advantage of your offer of change to Model 776 with folding top in the new contract it costs (same 1936 catalogue) $4320 and a top about $175 you say, makes 1495. If you cannot fill this contract, as corrected, without loss to you, even if you thought you could when you wrote, and prices do not advance anymore, what's the hurry? You can just tear up this contract and we'll correspond again. Of course Bob Meier will sell me the Chriscraft at anytime if he can. I hope to see him at the show. He goes on Sunday I believe. The name for our boat will be the same as our cottage KINKORA (Kinkora). It should be on the back, the numbers on the bows. Kinkora is the name of the castle of Brian Born. Of course I will write Hutchinson's and you can have the cruiser as early as you wish. They will charge storage to me. I do not need the utility until late in June. Write me when you can and have a good time. Yours, Francis J. O'Brien
