Dear Mr. Fitzgerald,
After waiting weeks for an answer to my letter I am in the Thou. Is. Sun that I had bought a boat so I concluded you had received the check.
Last evening I was elected President of the Rochester branch of the alumni of the University of Toronto and hardly speak to ordinary people but perhaps I may have to meet my old chum Wm Lyon McKensie King, another alumnus when he helps to open the new bridge so I cannot afford to hold my head too high.
All of which is by way of asking you to please have my Garwood Kinkora ready to run on May 27 so that I can runover to my place and be able to get back to Mass on Sunday. We will not be up to stay until the week of June 12 but you can have the outboard boat and motor anytime after I get them in the water.
Give our best regards to Mrs. Fitzgerald and all our friends whom you see.
Gratefully,
Francis J. O'BrienCollection
