Letter to Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc. from Francis J. O'Brien Transcription: [Letter head: Francis J. O'Brien, M.D., 1016 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York Feb 3, 1938 Mr. J.B. Fitzgerald Alexandria Bay Dear Friend, Yours of the second instant at head. More hope! It starts, "I did not mean"---and I might say the same thing. We both misunderstand the other. I think we will eventually agree. At the show, I understand that a speed of of thirty miles meant only a slight difference in the cost of the engine. I do not want speed except to get home from fishing, not an important point. I did like your description of the hull you have built , but I know nothing about hulls. I think you and Mr. Lee know how to build boats. I will wait impatiently the pictures and the price because as I say, you might sell many fishing boats if you page 2 have what everybody wants. Nobody else has. Hutchinson was always too careful of his name for fine high priced boats. I mention Bob Meier just to "get your goat" but he is a true friend. He would be unwilling to sell me a Chriscraft. He says it isn't what I want. He doesn't use one himself. He sells them to strangers. We need not consider him in the deal. I had a fine letter from Joe Peno. He is in Harrison with the Griffins, as you know. He left the show that night shortly after seven. He say nothing more than he'd seen many times at the James Street dock. He's impatient to get back to the Bay. With best regards to Mrs. Fitzgerald, Alvin and you rself from all of us here. I remain Sincerely Francis J. O'Brien
