Fitzgerald and Lee
Alexandria Bay N.Y.
Gentlemen:
Yours of recent date at hand. I am sorry to say I am short of funds at present but hope to be able to take care of you in the not distant future. Like most of the people in this old world, any securities I might have had seem now to have lost their value and the struggle is to keep food in our mouths.
The placing of this account in the hands of an attorney would only be incurring extra expense for both of us. In fact, in the end the attorney would get it all and cause both of us a great deal of inconvenience. I trust you will delay any such action.
Yours, H. Fred Inglehart
