Attention
Mr. J. B. Fitzgerald
Dear Sirs:
Now that the season is pretty well over, I wonder how you made out with the folding boat which you were kind enough to take over for me from Mr. De Young.
Have you found someone who was interested or have you still got it on your premises? If so, would you be willing to keep it over the Winter for me and put it up for sale next year?
I certainly more than appreciate your interest and assure you that whatever you decide will be agreeable to me.
Very truly yours,
Irving AbrahamContext
The Fitzgerald & Lee collection was discovered in 2014, in the attic space of what used to be the Fitzgerald & Lee business offices. The collection was donated to the Alexandria Township Historical Society. Fitzgerald & Lee were prominent boat builders of the area from 1920-1942, building custom boats and selling Gar Wood boats. The museum holds several Fitzgerald & Lee built boats in its permanent collection.Collection
