Messrs. Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc.
Alexandria Bay,
New York
Gentlemen: Attention: Mr. J.B. Fitzgerald
I have your letter and your telegram. I did not realize that "cash on delivery" meant delivery to other than me. I assume, however, that you would like to have some assistance to take up the bill of lading, and I am wondering if the enclosed check for $1000, will serve that purpose.
Yours very truly,
Loren N. Wood
[handwritten note] The box you made for tools in the Chris Craft utility is to remain at the Is. for use in the new boat when I go fishing.
