2002 North Shore Drive
Fitzgerald and Lee
Dear Sir,
In regard to your letter of boat and V drive you may be assured that I appreciate your timely aid. Enclosed is $210 to finish the payment on boat and to apply the balance in payment of a
V drive if the drive works out satisfactorily I will pay the remainder in due time. Please have Mr. Breitenbach to mail in a Gov. card as boat is sold to me and send me a bill of sale , boat to have all regular equipment, life belts etc. and also tachometer of which we discussed and settled while i was there.
The flange on the motor was made of chrome steel according to specifications as to shaft size which you you sent on my request and the flange was finished except the face which was left so that you might match it with the clutch flange and the drill bolt holes to match.
Your $175 will be paid in addition to machine work and cost of putting "CAPTIVA' on stern, please send this estimate.

Please try to make use of the fittings, tubing, etc. sent with the motor as much as you can. I trust this will keep down the cost of material as best you can and do as good a job as expected. If adjustments need to be made to the flange, make them but I thought they were satisfactory.
A magnetic starting box will be sent you so if you go to Thibaults in Clayton and ask him to give it to you for me (a magnetic box from the tool box in the cruiser "Bonita" and use it in the "Captiva"
Did you measure to ascertain if pan was O.K. to fit in boat if not I have one more shallower.
Thanking you for your kind attention, any future and from you will be appreciated.
Yours truly
Rudolph Watson, Jr
