Dear Mr. Fitzgerald:
I can see you people favor an open boat, rightly too I suppose because you wish to us the 1 cyl Scripps motor and because the hull is a cheaper proposition to build. I would say that was the proper thing to do providing you can keep your costs down so you can undersell Christ Craft, Garwood etc. As for my interest in it is concerned as to buying, I have none.
About the small Garwood. That must wait until my return from Florida. We have no use for such a boat except racing and what that does to the river etc. and untiol I am satisfied there wiol be at least 6 of these boats on the river and owners who will race I will do nothing. I haven't any excess money to waste. As for the Dark Island crowd racing you ought to know better than I how much to count on them. 0. Zero.
My best wishes for the Holidays to all
Yours very truly,
W.H. Linkroum
P.S. I enclose blueprints.
