Letter to Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc. from William H. Linkroum Transcription: Jan 9/35 Dear Mr. Lee: I just want to recall my understanding and conversation with you and Mr. Fitzgerald just before I left for Hackensack last fall. I am referring to the completion of the new boat. You recall our understanding was to the effect the boat was to be completed in every detail April 1st. It is now about the middle of Jan which leaves two and one-half months to finish the job. What you have to do from now on or later takes you as much time as what has been finished and judging by the time you have taken for this, in my opinion, will be hard pressed to keep your promise. Regardless whether I am right or wrong in my opinion I wish to be on record that I will not accept any excuse if this boat is not finished completely in every detail when I come up there on Apr. 1st. Therefore, to avoid any ill feeling between us I wish you would see to it that not a minute is lost. I am writing you to say in the friendliest spirit at a time when I think you can make up any lost time, if any, and I think it needless to say what my feelings and actions will be is my wishes are not fulfilled.
