Dear Mr. Lee:
Thank you for your letter of the 11th. I think I will keep the A,H.Z. as is. Your proposition seems very fair but considering all the expense I have been put to this fall and then we face some uncertainty as to how the boat would act with the new motor and if the present shaft would be suitable. I think it best to go along with the present lay out. Please attend to giving me the present motor as we discussed at length. Less [convenient?]. You recall the head wants to come off carbon scraped valves looked over and new gasket in exhaust manifold throughout etc. Try to find oil leak in case.
I'm glad to report I am feeling quite well although very shaky but as you no doubt detect in my writing. I trust you have the best of success at the New York show and my best wishes for the Holidays.
Sincerely yours,
W.H. Linkraum
P.S.
If you could get the Gray Co. to hold this proposition until about Jan. 1st there is a chance I might make the change.
You might ask them which motor they would recommend the heavy duty or the Super Six. Seems to me the super turns up terribly fast for my boat. What is the difference in weight between my present motor and new Super-Six and heavy duty, iron base?
