Mr. James Alker, Jr.
East Shore Road,
Great Neck, N. Y.
Dear James:
We promised you if we got the "Our-Ma" in trade we would give you the first opportunity to buy it. As you will remember, it is an 18' Standard Gar Wood Runabout, powered with a Chrysler Crown Motor.
This boat is in very good condition. The motor is in fine shape. We will of course grind the valves and govover the bearings and clean out the base.
Our price is $900. this fall for immediate acceptance and as we have all our used boats advertised in Watertown and Syracuse papers, we do not expect we will have them long, especially this one as it a very salable job. If you are interested, we would advise that you act at once.
With kindest regards to yourself and mother, we are,
Very truly yours,
Fitzgerald & Lee, Inc.

The Fitzgerald & Lee collection was discovered in 2014, in the attic space of what used to be the Fitzgerald & Lee business offices. The collection was donated to the Alexandria Township Historical Society. Fitzgerald & Lee were prominent boat builders of the area from 1920-1942, building custom boats and selling Gar Wood boats. The museum holds several Fitzgerald & Lee built boats in its permanent collection.Collection
