Description

St. Lawrence skiff model and custom fitted wood case built by the donor. The model is a 1 1/2" to 1' version of the smaller skiffs A. Bain & Co. produced in the 1890s. The wooden parts have been fashioned from basswood and cherry and the planks of the hull are fastened by hundreds of tiny copper rivets.
